These are historical photographs showing the downtown of Haifa before the restoration took place. For processing these photographs, I used Computer's software. The process is based on computerized photography technology. Originally, intensive Mediterranean light caused the sky to appear in saturated blue color. I changed the saturation of the color in order to get monochromatic effects emphasizing the aging of houses. Also, I removed from the houses boards and signs, in order to get rid of temporary elements. We may see beginnings to new life in some of the pictures, for example: Repaired window, washings hanged on the rope, chair hinting presence of human beings, and beam of light falling on green grass that started to grow between the ruins. Lately I began to add more growth sings, using acrylic technique, in order to emphasize the potential beauty embodied in our present life.
